If the wine culture is something you enjoy then this is the ideal step to get to know the Bairrada region, which besides its famous sparkling wines is nationally known for its oven-baked suckling pig and the high quality bread that always accompanies it on the table. In Anadia, where the journey begins, you can get all the information about the region and its main agricultural culture at the Bairrada Wine Museum. The stage goes south, to the sports area of the city, where you can enjoy a bike path that takes you to the IC2, where it is recommended to be cautious with the car traffic in the small section that allows the connection to Curia, one of the most beautiful villages in the region, where you can know and visit the Bairrada Area and the Curia Thermal Spa Park, with its careful gardens. Then, the stage goes westward, entering the extensive vineyards of S. Lourenço do Bairro, in a landscape of great beauty, especially when you look to the east, where the Bussaco mountain range rises. Here, you can take a left turn to visit the Óis do Bairro Palace and, further on, another turn to get to know the Quinta do Encontro, whose circular installations are highlighted in the wine landscape. Now heading north, pass by some villages and, a little before Póvoa do Mato, take a few minutes to enjoy the tranquility of Paul de Ancas Lagoon.
