Grande Rota da Ria de Aveiro - Percurso Dourado / Walking
The northernmost stage of the entire route network allows the discovery of Barrinha de Esmoriz, also known as Lagoa de Paramos, before heading south to the Carregal Pier. The Barrinha, formed by the junction of two water courses, can be explored through the footbridges that surround it, with several points suitable for observing flora and fauna, which can be identified with the help of several interpretative panels. Leaving the Esmoriz Beach, you can also visit the Buçaquinho Environmental Park, where passes one of the water courses that feed the Barrinha. A journey marked by the sea and the Ovar Dunes follows, in a stretch where you have at your disposal a scenic and pleasant bicycle path. Before going into the forest perimeter of the Ovar Dunes a detour allows a visit to the Cortegaça Beach and, a little further south, a new detour allows a visit to the Ovar Centre of the Air Museum. Maceda Beach appears shortly after, hidden by the remarkable pine trees that ceaselessly block the sea winds, whose aroma blends with the resinous odors typical of the inland pine forests, creating an atmosphere of rare intensity. Before finishing the stage, a small detour takes you to the much sought after Praia do Furadouro.
