Grande Rota da Ria de Aveiro - Percurso Dourado / Walking
A very diverse stage in its landscapes and habitats, part of Albergaria-a-Velha towards Segadães, following in its final stretch a Vouga river already far from the mountains where it winds, surrounded by extensive agricultural fields of cereal and vegetable production. But before reaching the fertile banks of the Vouga, it crosses a forest cover dominated by eucalyptus production forests, first by the EN16-2 and then by the EM579-2, until it reaches the village of Frias, in a route coinciding with that of Stage 9 | Albergaria-a-Velha » Parque do Areal - Angeja, of the GR59. It continues towards the west, crossing the center of Frossos, old council headquarters, where the houses with facades decorated with tiles of all colors, shapes and sizes stand out. In this locality, you can run the PR4 ABL - Pateira de Frossos Trail, which will guide you through agricultural fields cut by green corridors made up essentially of willows and alder trees, up to the Vouga riverbed. Always along the right bank of the river, the trail goes south, through agricultural fields where often birds are observed in search of food, ending the journey in the village of Fontinhas, immediately after crossing the Vouga riverbed.
