It begins in Albergaria-a-Velha and extends towards the mountains of Sever do Vouga, following the valleys of the rivers Caima and Mau, the latter with a natural element of impressive beauty, the Cabreia waterfall. In the initial section of Albergaria-a-Velha, Valmaior has a bike path at its disposal, on a descending route towards the bed of the Caima river. The stage continues north, through the scenic and tranquil EN16-3, full of arboreal tunnels of diverse flora, especially eucalyptus and oak trees. The extensive Caima valley stands out from Busturenga, cultivated with subsistence gardens and corn fields. In Ribeira de Fráguas, the route coincides with Stage 4 | Fradelos (Albergaria-a-Velha) » Sever do Vouga (centro), of GR58. Along mountain roads, through eucalyptus production forests, you reach Silva Escura. In the vicinity of the village, lies the exuberant Parque da Cascata da Cabreia, where the Mau River flows. The stage now heads south, finding what remains of the old Minas do Braçal facilities, in a place full of small details and secrets, arriving shortly after in Sever do Vouga.
