Grande Rota da Ria de Aveiro - Percurso Azul / Walking
From the peace and quiet felt in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Vagos, the stage goes to some of the most urban and busy areas of the region. It quickly reaches the Boco Riverbed which, depending on the tide, "runs" north, flowing into the Ria. Around the Vista Alegre factory and since its foundation, in 1824, a private working-class neighborhood has been built, destined to house the manufacturing community, made up of workers and artists and practically self-sufficient. The Vista Alegre Museum tells this unique story and you can also see and visit the chapel (national monument), the day care center, the theater and other centenary equipment. Heading to Ílhavo through the Oliveiras Road, we arrive at the Malhada Pier, deserving a detour to visit the Ílhavo Maritime Museum. The route then continues through the University of Aveiro and, in the Paraíso Lake, do not miss the opportunity to see a flamingo in the wild . In the final stretch, salt becomes the main protagonist, with the opportunity to visit the Salt Marines of Aveiro and the Troncalhada Marine Ecomuseum to get to know this essential product better.
