The route starts in the town of Atalaia. We continue to the Ribeira das Barrocas stream, which you cross by a wooden bridge. Ahead, at the junction of the ribeira das Barrocas stream with the ribeira de Alferreireira stream, we have the milling centre. Climbing up an open footpath on the rock, we follow the trail along the ribeira de Alferreireira stream and we arrive at Vale Covo. You arrive at the Tagus by a trail on an old levada (water channel). At the mouth of the Tagus we walk along the tow wall, up to Vale de Cerejeiras. Now begins the ascent to the Monte do Cabril and once at the Degracia Cimeira, visit the Fonte Velha.
