The route begins in the Amieira do Tejo, and follows a path between walls, holm oaks, olive trees, Cistus ladanifers, Scotch Brooms and cork oaks. It leads to the ruins of the church of Vila Flor. We proceed towards the Tagus, by a sharp descent to the bank. Here we walk along the tow wall by the river, gazing at the flight of birds, such as the heron. Behind is a shale pontoon arch, the mouth of the Ocreza River and the abundant myrtle trees and arbutus. We arrive at the Barca da Amieira pier, passing by the picnic park. We now go up to the castle of Amieira.
