We start with the magnificent poplars of the Sever River. Ahead, we climb the medieval path and here there are forest areas with cork oak, black oak and chestnut. At the top, at Nossa Senhora da Estrela Village, the panoramic view is magnificent, note the quartzite crests of the border of Galegos and the Peak of S. Mamede. We descend the medieval path and head for Abegoa. It follows a landscape where the oak dominates, the cork oak emerges in the driest areas. In Fonte Souto, a chapel which is in very bad condition and two medieval graves carved in the rock merit acknowledgement.
