Exit the garden in front of the Cine-theatre and exit the city centre by Rua da Abegoaria. Cross the outer ring, head towards Guadiana on the dirt road. Continue, passing by vast agricultural fields and next to the water catchment of Horta dos Banhos, which was once a Roman villa. After Monte da Caldeira and Monte da Repoila, go down through the olive grove and holm oaks, where you can see the Guadiana River. Next to the river, take a left on the rural road to the Azenha da Ordem, a grinding mill. From here, start a long and gentle climb through the holm oak fields, past Monte das Melrinas and Monte do Gago, in the agricultural landscape. Continue, entering Serpa by the St. Peter Threshing Floor (Eira de São Pedro), with its chapel welcoming you there.
