Exit the Mourão Tourist Office and go to the Castle. Go around its wall on the right by the old moat. Follow the trail between walls until the S. Sebastião Shrine (Ermida de S. Sebastião). Go around and walk between walls along the water line to the old asphalt road. Take the old Estrada da Barca to another perpendicular path. Go down through walls, go straight ahead, cross the old road and go to the end of the peninsula. Arriving at the end, turn left along the bank line to the old road, next to a house. Follow the road to the right and take the first left turn after the quarry. Climb up to Estrada da Barca, go down to Mourão. Follow the signs in the historic centre.
