This stage extends between Fafião and Cabril, passing through Pincães and covering about 8 km in rural and mountain environments. Departing from Largo da Sobreira do Chão in Fafião the route heads north, care being taken to follow the waymarks and signs that lead to the access path to Roca das Cabreiras, where the highest point of this stage is reached at 730 meters. Skirting around the mass of granite the path continues ahead, offering unobstructed views of the magnificent scenery. The next high point of the route is provided as it passes by the headwaters of the Pincães River. From here there is a descent to the area of Pala Doce where signs indicate the option of visiting the Pincães waterfall. After passing Pincães the route continues towards Cabril, following forest tracks with occasional crossings of the municipal road. Finally, one of the reaches of the Salamonde reservoir comes into view where the way passes over a bridge across the Cabril river and then heads into the centre of the village where the stage ends.
