The landscape along this route is full of traces of mountain and rural populations; granite buildings used as living quarters and the so-called “cortes” - buildings used to support agricultural activity. Several native species such as chestnut, ash, black oak, willow and alder can be found along this route. The diverse range of flora present in the region is common in forested areas and along the area's water courses. Wild rabbits, foxes, wild boar and the Pyrenean desman, the little owl, the screech owl, the common nightingale, the common whitethroat, the rock sparrow, the peregrine falcon, crows and griffons are all common.
