This walking route starts at the Idanha campsite before setting off northwards along the reservoir. After crossing the Fragas stream on a wooden walkway, it then crosses a wall on another walkway with a ladder before climbing among holm oaks to reach a high point where there are some ruins. It starts a gentle descent towards the shores of the reservoir. Before reaching the reservoir, next to a well with an old water wheel, it takes the path to the right that leads directly towards Idanha-a-Velha, between fences where herds of cattle graze. It ends right next to the primary school. The return retraces the outward route, so you should consider 17 km for the entire walk.
