Sever do Vouga (centro) » Pessegueiro do Vouga (Sever do Vouga)

Grande Rota da Ria de Aveiro - Percurso Verde / Walking

Beginning in the village of Sever do Vouga, this stage connects to the parish of Pessegueiro do Vouga (Sever) through a route that explores the northeastern part of the municipality, essentially on a forest path with eucalyptus fields, pine forests, some green corridors formed by oaks and chestnut trees, and areas of riparian vegetation, especially on the Gresso riverbed. After discovering the village of Sever do Vouga, the stage follows the EN328-1 from village to village, some of which are spectacularly located on the slopes of the mountains, until reaching Rocas do Vouga, starting point of the PR10 SVV - Trilho do Gresso. It continues towards the northeast and meets the PR8 SVV - Trilho da Pedra Moura (Moorish Stone Trail), offering the possibility to detour to the dolmen which named the trail. The route goes to southwest and you can take a detour to visit the Church and the Pillory of Couto de Esteves, as well as discover the 3 walking routes that begin there. Continue on EM569, crossing the course of the Gresso River and passing by the Couto de Esteves Dam - Ribeiradio, ending shortly after crossing the Vouga bed, about 4 km, very close to the Quinta do Barco River Beach.
