The course starts in the Hawk’s Valley (Vale de Gaviões). We continue to the valley, where we can see the irrigation channels of the Ribeira de Margem stream that irrigate the crops. We arrive at Ribeira de Sor stream, topped by the bridge of Sume, here, the water disappears through huge stones of hard granite, resurfacing later. We can appreciate the immense mills that still endure time and that show the relationship between Man and Nature. Along the Ribeira de Margem stream several giant kettles are still visible. We continue towards the Vale da Madeira where it is time to quench our thirst at the Fonte Velha spout.
