A strategic historical connection, Castelo de Vide and Marvão. A secular crossing over a rural and natural landscape, walled paths, and some sectors with medieval paving. The route is marked by farms and olive groves and to emphasise the presence of the black oak that forms thickets of high ecological value. Along the way we find some fountains, cottages, churches, a grave carved in the rock, etc. The last 3km to be climbed, represent a great challenge, attenuated by the surrounding landscape and the magnificent and well preserved medieval paving that runs through the chestnut groves.
