We cross the Roman Bridge on the Ribeira Grande stream. The route goes through extensive areas of holm oaks and cork oaks, and areas dedicated to pastures or forage crops. In some areas there are already massive, new olive groves. On the route, successive cottages appear, almost all of which are abandoned. In addition to several dams, from a few sections the views reachdistant horizons. After Vaiamonte and Monte das Freiras, at the foot of the hill we pass Head of Vaiamonte and we continue until Torre de Palma with its Mountain and Archaeological Station, where we visit the interpretive centre of Vila Romana.
