It begins next to the Village Dam (Barragem da Póvoa), we cross the hamlet of Póvoa and Meadas and extensive areas of well-developed mountains. In more open areas grazing is apparent and we can see the peacefulness of the cattle and the irreverence of the goats. For several kilometres we will also discover a vast megalithic heritage, constituted by several dolmens and the imposing Menir da Meada Standing stone, but also by more recent remains, such as anthropomorphic graves excavated in the rock, paving ways and a medieval era “lagareta”. We will still have to cross some water over old granite tree routes.
