Right in the middle of the South West Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park can be found a range of different native plant species and unique coastal landscapes. From the main church in the town of Bispo, the route runs approximately 4km southwards, passing the cemetery before entering agricultural fields. Grazing is also common in this area, and walkers often come across cattle. The terrain is gentle and has a low difficulty level.
The route skirts small rural hills, such as Catalão and Vale Santo, where the Vicentine Route (GR11) joins the Via Algarviana, as well as the Coast Ecovia upon arriving at the EN268, before continuing towards Cape St. Vincent.
