It is in Santiago do Cacém’s emblematic church, a city with strong connections to the pilgrimages to Santiago de Compostela, where you begin this journey along the South-west of Portugal. Since the Middle Ages, pilgrims from the Promontorium Sacrum, have passed through here, the mythical destination of this historical journey has now been recovered.
