Leave Monsaraz by the Porta da Vila, in the north, towards the São Bento Shrine (Ermida de São Bento). Go around the Monsaraz Inn (Estalagem de Monsaraz) towards Ferragudo, the Convent of the Orada and Cromlech do Xerez. Head north on the Roman Bridge over the Ribeira da Pega stream. Continue to Outeiro cross to the tight curve of the EN 1125. Continue north-west, see Serra da Barrada on the right. Passing the Menir do Outeiro, go to Barrada. Cross the road and go down to Monte Saraz. Pass by Horta do Revoredo and Pega millenary olive grove until the intersection with Estrada Real. Take a detour to see the Menir da Belhoa. Return to the Estrada Real and go to Telheiro to see the magnificent spring, take the historical slope and climb up to Monsaraz.
