On the way you can see the town’s old houses, where agriculture and grazing cows and goats were this village’s main sources of livelihood, which are now virtually deserted. Going through the eucalyptus forests, it descends along a track that has been lost in the barrier of the Tagus. At the riverbank there is a small pier and a picnic area, and you get a good view of the river's enclosed valley. You may even see some birds such as the heron or the cormorant. Start the climb up to the highest point, on a threshing floor.
